  The Bassac take you into the greener areas of the Mekong delta, overnight on the river and into the middle of the life about the river. Without compromising on your comfort, be it accommodation or cuisine, you will be able to get a glimpse of the tremendous activity of the floating markets, of the peaceful life in the countryside and of the bountiful nature in the delta, earning it to be called the rice bowl of Vietnam.

  Itinerary

  Everyday, we have some cabins available along Can Tho - Cai Be and others along  Cai Be - Can Tho

   

  Departure from Caibe
  Day 1 : Saigon-  Cai Be- Tra On ( Lunch /Diner )
  Depart from your hotel and drive to Cai Be in the heart of the Mekong Delta Boarding (around noon)

  the Bassac - a converted and fully equipped traditional rice barge designed for your great comfort.

  After getting acquainted with the crew, cast off for a memorable cruise to Cho Lac. Whilst on board,

  local lunch will be served. Later, you may relax on the upper deck or in your cabin.  In the middle

  of the afternoon, the barge will anchor to visit a village on the banks of either the Co Chien or

  Mang Thit River where you can taste some tropical fruits before returning aboard the Bassac to enjoy

  the sunset. Local dinner on board. Overnight on board.

  
  Day 2 :  Tra On -Can Tho -Saigon  ( Lunch )
  In the morning, enjoy a Western style breakfast while sailing through the Tra On floating market towards Can Tho.

  Arrive in Cai Rang, check out of the ship and board a small local boat to visit the floating market and the nearby

  streams and gardens. Disembark at Can Tho and stroll through the market before having lunch in a local restaurant.

  Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City at the beginning of the afternoon and arriving later in the afternoon.

  Day 1 : Saigon - Cantho  -Tra On ( Lunch/ Diner )
  Depart early in the morning from your hotel and drive to Can Tho, the largest town in the Mekong Delta. 

  If time permits, stroll through Can Tho market before boarding (around noon) the Bassac - a converted and 

  fully equipped traditional rice barge designed for your great comfort. After getting acquainted with the crew,

  cast off for a memorable cruise on the Hau River and pass by the Tra On floating market. While admiring the

  beautiful sceneries and everyday life of the Mekong Delta, enjoy a local lunch on board. Later, you may relax

  on the upper deck or in your cabin.  In the middle of the afternoon, the barge will anchor to visit a village on

  the banks of either the Co Chien or Mang Thit River where you will see a nearby tropical orchard garden

  or rice field beforereturning aboard the Bassac to enjoy the sunset.The crew will serve dinner while the

  Bassac is cruising on the Mang Thit River .Overnight on board.

  
  Day 2 :  Tra On - Cai Be- Saigon ( Lunch/ Diner )
  In the morning, enjoy a Western style breakfast while sailing through the Tra On floating market towards

  Can Tho. Check out of the ship and board a small local boat to visit the floating market and a family-run

  business. Disembark in Cai Be and have lunch in a local restaurant. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City  hotel.
