Recently, Vietnam was named as the "Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year" by the International Association of Golf Travel Operators (IAGTO). Luang Prabang Residence was built on a part of royal land property, owned by prince Sisouphanh, who was the younger brother of King Khamsouk or Sakarine (1889-1904). Prince Sisouphanh lived at the royal home (over 150 years old), next to Luang Prabang Residence. Today, it is a national heritage house.
