Recently, Vietnam was named as the "Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year" by the International Association of Golf Travel Operators (IAGTO). Welcome to Golden Island Cottages (GIC)
Golden Island Cottages, a floating hotel, is built on stilts in the middle of dreamy Inle lake. All the bungalows have scenic lake views. They are built of local bamboo and comfortably furnished to blend with the traditional atmosphere of the region. GIC offers a fine dining room and delightful entertainment, as well as easy access by small power boats to ancient archeological sites, a variety of shops and colorful markets overflowing with handmade local products.
The Nampan Resort of Golden Island Cottages is well appointed and located at Nanpan Village near the most renowned ancient Phoung Daw Oo Pagoda and easily accessible to all major tourist attractions in and around the lake. Distance in 10 miles or 20 km from the center of Nyungshwe and 16 miles or 30 km from the Heho Airport. It was established and built on the surface of the lake over 10 acrea in 1995 in local style cottages with private balcony. The architect has combined traditional influence and blended with Inle style but fully equipped with modern facilities. The hotel services are upgraded with hospitality of Pa O and Intha people.
